![]() ![]() ![]() Ended up talking to manager named Josh who accused me of lying and was so disrespectful. About ten minutes later a guy calls to say they are on the way (2 hours late, work done, we only hired one team). Left after their two hours with job done, signed email to release money. Wife decided it was worth it to keep me from having a heart attack so rescheduled. Hired for unloading and the up sale was almost double the quote so canceled. Fine, paid the extra $50, they did a good job. We hired to load, and, of course the cost was more than quoted because “the quoted company was not available”. I dont know how big your company is or where the problem is in the system(Corporate/ Vendor/ Communication) but the end service that I got was beyond size: Writing this note as the sequence of events and why this is the most disappointing service that I ever took. We did all the transfer by ourselves for the next few hours, broke our backs and on top of it your team informs that there is a cancellation charge. we are frustrated by the negativity, lack of intent to do any actual work and snarky comments and told them to stop the service. By 2:05 pm, a back and forth call with his manager Sam has started and they are waiting for the call to be finished rather than doing any actual work(Mood spoiler 3).Ĩ. Please take note that not a single item has been moved from the elevator so far.ħ. By 2:00 pm, I unscrewed 4 bolts while he is talking to his boss Sam. By 1:55 pm, he has managed to unscrew 1 bolt and told that he cant do others(Mood spoiler 2).Ħ. By 1:50 pm, we went to society maintenance and provided them the wrench to disassemble the bed.ĥ. Later they told that the basic tool-box is in the car.Ĥ. ![]() By 1:40pm, we requested to give it a try and they told us that they are not carrying the tool-box. ![]() On seeing the bed at 1:37pm, they straight away declared that they can't transfer the bed( Mood spoiler 1).ģ. Let me recount the experience in chronological order:Ģ. We booked HireAHelper for our convenience and it turned out to be the biggest stress in our transfer process. The biggest issue of bed disassembling and assembling took me 10 mins(my first time with a wrench) while they created a big fuss out of it without doing any actual work. The workers were in no mood to work, didn't bring tool-boxes, passed snarky comments like "We are not going to assemble your bed since you are removing the bolts". Writing this note to recount for traumatic experience for our move scheduled on 08/12. They have paid reviews on HireAHelper forum and are there for extorting money. Never ever book this company if you love your peace. Hopefully, this review will make some people think because Hire-A-Helper uses 3rd party unreliable movers and won't help you when things go wrong. Just be cautious using this site and book movers DIRECTLY because later if you try to make a claim with your credit company for "quality of service" it will be much more difficult to get your money back. Pay a little extra for qualified movers and save yourself the headache later. Just look at the number of complaints they have against them on the Better Business Bureau website. So Hire-A-Helper stating on their website that "we have the highest quality movers you can book anywhere online" is an absolute joke. We honestly thought we were on some reality show and a camera crew would jump out any minute. So YES, anything larger than a box the guy refused to put on the truck. Not only did Elite Moving Services show up over 2 hours late on the day of the move but one of the guys they sent refused and I can't stress that enough REFUSED to lift anything heavy. They put us in contact with Elite Moving Services, which ended in a horrible experience. What a horrible experience using "HireAHelper" My wife and I used this site to find movers and I wish we went elsewhere. ![]()
